AgHealth Australia has produced the latest Health and Safety Data for Australian Farms report as part of the Ag Safety Data Net project.
The report found that 427 unintentional farm-related fatalities occurred between 2019 and 2025, with 73% associated with work-related activities. Farm vehicles and mobile plant remained the leading causes of fatalities.
Workers’ compensation data also identified falls, muscular stress, animals, moving objects and vehicle incidents as key causes of farm injury.
The report provides nationally consistent evidence to help agriculture identify prevention priorities, guide investment and monitor progress in farm safety.
